About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Moy Park. As a key member of our mill engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a maintenance plan to minimize production downtime and ensure efficient operation of our equipment.
  • Provide technical support to production teams on the PPM system and ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain a breakdown call-out plan to minimize downtime and ensure prompt response to maintenance requests.
  • Prepare regular reports on maintenance status and engineering performance, including KPIs.
  • Complete engineering requests in order of priority and ensure all work is carried out to a high standard.
  • Maintain all pressure systems and lifting equipment, ensuring compliance with legal and insurance requirements.
  • Assist in purchasing and stock control of maintenance requirements, ensuring alignment with budget targets.
  • Obtain quotations for plant improvements and capital plans, and assist in the implementation of new projects.
  • Maintain the company permit-to-work system and ensure all work carried out by maintenance teams and contractors complies with company health and safety policy.
  • Monitor and control any negative environmental impact arising from processes within your area of responsibility.
  • Ensure all direct reports and colleagues are briefed on their responsibilities and comply with the Moy Park Group Risk Management System Manual.
  • Hold relevant qualifications, including 17th edition electrical and experience working on PLCs, inverters, and PPM systems.
  • Have mechanical experience and a background in working within high-speed production facilities.
  • Hold an IOSH qualification (desirable).
