Maintenance Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our mill engineering team at Moy Park. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a maintenance plan to minimize production downtime and ensure efficient operation of our equipment.
- Provide technical support to production teams on the PPM system and ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a breakdown call-out plan to minimize downtime and ensure prompt response to maintenance requests.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on maintenance status and engineering performance.
- Complete engineering requests in order of priority and ensure all work is carried out to a high standard.
- Maintain all pressure systems and lifting equipment to ensure compliance with legal and insurance requirements.
- Assist in the purchasing and stock control of maintenance materials and ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with budget targets.
- Assist in obtaining quotations for plant improvements and capital projects.
- Maintain the company permit-to-work system and ensure all work carried out by maintenance teams and contractors complies with company health and safety policies.
- Monitor and control any negative environmental impact arising from production processes and ensure all direct reports and colleagues are briefed on their responsibilities.
- Hold a 17th edition electrical qualification and have experience working on PLCs, inverters, and PPM systems.
- Have mechanical experience and a background working in high-speed production facilities.
- Hold an IOSH qualification (desirable).
