About the Role

Moy Park is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our mill engineering team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our feed mill by maintaining a proactive maintenance plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a maintenance plan to minimize production downtime and ensure optimal mill performance.
  • Provide technical support to production teams on the PPM system and ensure its effective use.
  • Maintain a breakdown call-out plan to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on maintenance status and engineering performance as key performance indicators.
  • Complete engineering requests in priority order to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Maintain all pressure systems and lifting equipment to ensure compliance with legal and insurance requirements.
  • Assist in purchasing and stock control of maintenance requirements within budget targets.
  • Obtain quotations for plant improvements and capital plans to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain the company permit-to-work system to ensure safe working practices.
  • Assist in ensuring that all work carried out by maintenance teams and contractors complies with company health and safety policies.
  • Maintain the engineering workshop and stores to a satisfactory condition, adhering to the company's clean-as-you-go policy.
  • Monitor and control any negative environmental impact arising from processes within your area of responsibility.
  • Ensure all direct reports and colleagues are briefed on their responsibilities as outlined in the Moy Park Group Risk Management System Manual.
  • Hold electrical qualifications to the 17th edition and experience working on PLCs, inverters, and PPM systems.
  • Have mechanical experience and a background in working within high-speed production facilities.
  • Possess an IOSH qualification (desirable).
