We seek a driven finance expert to elevate our finance operations by fostering automation and optimizing processes. This role will collaborate closely with the CEO and our Capital Markets Lead to cultivate a top-tier finance team and facilitate the execution of our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting
Responsibilities related to core accounting, financial reporting, and commercial aspects of the role

  • Develop and lead a high-performing internal finance team, managing three direct reports.
  • Oversee all business-as-usual operational processes, including payroll, management reporting, cash reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly FCA reporting.
  • Maintain oversight of treasury management, including cash flow forecasting.
  • Manage the annual audit process, ensuring timely execution, accurate reporting, and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Oversee the annual R&D Tax Credit submission, collaborating with our tech team to prepare the technical report and compile financial data.
  • Establish strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization to represent the data needs of the finance function.
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers, including landlords, insurance providers, corporate lawyers, and company secretaries.
  • Oversee daily disbursement and HELOC drawdown finance processes, ensuring timely fund transfers to clients.
  • Administer the staff ESOP program, including managing agreements, filing returns, and handling subscription payments.
  • Lead the month-end reporting process, compiling month-end reports and senior management KPI packs.
  • Manage the broker commissions process and address any broker-related queries.
  • Embody the Selina value of Customer Obsession, recognizing that your customers are primarily Selina employees.

Reporting / Loan Servicing
Responsibilities related to funder reporting and loan servicing aspects of the role

  • Own the daily, weekly, and monthly funder reporting responsibilities, ensuring timely and accurate report delivery.
  • Submit weekly funding requests to our funders and manage liquidity requirements.
  • Process daily and ad hoc collections sweeps.
  • Oversee the loan servicing team from a finance perspective, ensuring top-notch servicing processes.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Service team to coordinate responses to customer inquiries and ensure prompt resolutions.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in a finance leadership role, preferably within a balance sheet or lending organization.
  • Strong expertise in accounting and financial reporting.
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA) with 2-3 years of post-qualification experience, ideally from a leading accounting firm.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated success in hiring and developing teams, with a coaching mindset.
  • Passionate about problem-solving and process improvement, with a proactive approach.
