We seek a driven finance expert to elevate our finance department by advancing automation and optimizing processes. This role will collaborate closely with the CEO and our Capital Markets Lead to ensure the establishment of a top-tier finance team and facilitate the execution of our strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting
Core accounting and financial reporting responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a high-performing internal finance team, managing three direct reports.
  • Oversee all operational processes, including payroll, management reporting, cash reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly FCA reporting.
  • Maintain oversight of treasury management, including cash flow forecasting.
  • Manage the annual audit process, ensuring timely execution and accurate reporting within budget.
  • Oversee the annual R&D Tax Credit submission, collaborating with the tech team to draft the technical report and compile financial data.
  • Establish strong relationships with stakeholders to represent the finance function's data needs.
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers, including landlords, insurance providers, and legal counsel.
  • Oversee daily disbursement and HELOC drawdown processes, ensuring timely fund transfers to clients.
  • Administer the staff ESOP program, including agreement management and subscription payments.
  • Lead the month-end reporting process, compiling reports and KPI packs for senior management.
  • Manage broker commissions and address any arising queries.
  • Embody the Selina value of Customer Obsession, recognizing that your customers are primarily Selina employees.

Reporting / Loan Servicing
Responsibilities related to funder reporting and loan servicing

  • Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly funder reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Submit weekly funding requests to our funders and manage liquidity requirements.
  • Process daily collections sweeps.
  • Manage the loan servicing team from a financial perspective, ensuring best-in-class servicing processes.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Service team to coordinate responses to customer inquiries and ensure effective issue resolution.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in a finance leadership role, preferably within a balance sheet or lending environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting.
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA) with 2-3 years of post-qualification experience, ideally from a leading accounting firm.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proven track record in team building and coaching.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to process improvement.
  • Positive attitude, comfortable navigating challenges and driving solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

Desirable Qualifications:
