Position Overview

Are you well-versed in delivering digital projects within the infrastructure sector and looking to elevate your career? We partner with client organizations to influence and shape the management of their infrastructure projects. This role provides a unique opportunity to improve the planning and execution efficiency of major infrastructure initiatives while assisting clients in achieving their Net Zero aspirations through effective information management and the application of digital technologies.

Your role will be multifaceted, involving the development of strategies, process mapping, technology implementation, and feasibility assessments across the infrastructure landscape. Responsibilities may include strategic digital advisory, collaborating with project delivery teams to adopt digital methodologies, and may involve both client-facing and internal tasks.

You will be a passionate advocate for the integration of information management and digital solutions in infrastructure projects. Your genuine enthusiasm for driving meaningful improvements through optimized information management and digital delivery will be essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver proactive and dependable guidance to clients regarding technology solutions, with a focus on information management.
  • Develop and implement digital and information management strategies for organizations, programs, and projects.
  • Possess valuable knowledge of ISO19650 industry standards and their implications for service lines, deliverables, and clients.
  • Understand lifecycle delivery management utilizing both waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Consider the interplay of People, Process, and Technology to ensure a holistic approach to digital delivery and information management for programs, projects, and organizations.
  • Establish rigorous quality processes for version control and audit trail management.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, enhancing expertise as an information management subject matter expert (SME) to identify opportunities for Turner & Townsend support.
  • Investigate and evaluate the potential application of innovative technologies.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently or as part of high-performance teams.
  • Provide support and training to others on the use of digital technologies.
  • Stay updated on key industry trends, interpret them, and share insights with the broader team.
  • Contribute to and potentially lead business development initiatives (bid qualifications and proposals).

Qualifications

  • 2:1 Bachelor's degree, preferably in a STEM field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Achieved or pursuing professional membership/accreditation such as APM, CEng, BCS, CMI.
  • Desirable but not mandatory: BIM or Information Management Certification (or in progress).

Essential Requirements

  • Comprehensive understanding of ISO19650 / BS1192 standards and experience in advising and implementing them in projects.
  • Experience in formulating, executing, and advising on Information Management / Digital strategies.
  • Familiarity with project/program delivery environments, including PMO.
  • Proficiency in a Common Data Environment and relevant software.
  • Knowledge of data management technologies such as SQL.
  • Familiarity with reporting and dashboard software like Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, self-motivated, with excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
  • Experience in one of our core sectors (Defence, Transport, Natural Resources, Central/Secure Government).
  • Willingness to travel as required. Turner & Townsend follows a 'hybrid' working model aligned with project demands.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of configuration and utilization of industry-standard tools.
  • Experience or interest in Cyber & information security.
  • Project Management certification such as APM, Prince2, SAFe.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Exposure to Change Management.
  • Experience in Document Controls Management.
  • Experience in Asset Management.
  • Knowledge of 3D Modelling & Review BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, Solibri.
