Job Summary

RPS Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal GIS Consultant to join our Ecology GIS team in the UK. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving digital innovations and transformation across the business.

Your Role

  • Grow, manage, and support the ecology GIS team to ensure support for the wider ecology team in delivery of master planning inputs, ecological appraisals, ornithological surveys, and studies.
  • Deliver high-quality support for private and public-sector clients across the UK, including infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
  • Build long-lasting client relationships, generate new business, and have responsibility for financial planning and management.
  • Project manage a wide and varied workload and supervise internal staff, with technical oversight and sign-off on project output.
  • Work with our existing Senior Ecology Team to drive digital innovations and transformation across the division.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience leading a team of GIS consultants within an Ecological Consultancy.
  • First-hand experience leading digital innovations within the GIS team and across the wider ecology team.
  • Helped drive digital transformation, leveraging digital data capture to improve efficiency within internal processes and communication of data between ESRI and Microsoft products.
