Certification Assurance Engineer
Hybrid Working
Salary: £54,793 - £60,326 + Overtime + Benefits: 14% pension, 25 days holiday, free shares and more

Key Responsibilities

The role of the Certification Assurance Engineer encompasses a variety of critical functions, including:

  • Conducting independent airworthiness assurance activities related to design certification, ensuring compliance with safety and qualification standards.
  • Acting as the primary airworthiness contact for negotiating flight limitations with System Design Responsibility teams, Flight Operations, and external stakeholders.
  • Developing and issuing Flight Certification documentation, including Military Permits to Fly for both Development and Production Aircraft.
  • Creating and managing Flight Certification (Release to Service) documentation for Export Clients.
  • Enhancing and refining the processes associated with flight and design certification.
  • Participating in project meetings to represent airworthiness interests, including engagements with external clients.
  • Collaborating with customers and senior stakeholders on airworthiness and delivery issues.
  • Delegating tasks to qualified team members and overseeing their professional development, including performance reviews and career progression plans.
Required Qualifications

To be considered for the Certification Assurance Engineer position, candidates should possess:

  • Knowledge of aircraft avionic and mechanical systems design, as well as aerodynamic disciplines.
  • Extensive experience with design configuration control processes.
  • Familiarity with design certification and airworthiness protocols.
  • Experience in aircraft operations within a large organizational context (preferred).
  • Analytical skills to support the establishment of integrated aircraft-level flight limitations.
