About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer to join our Product Verification team at BAE Systems.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the required safety and design intent standards. This will involve conducting assurance activities, generating objective evidence, and substantiating the safety of our products at various stages during procurement and build.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Verification: Conduct verification activities to ensure build and design intent conformity at system and whole boat level.
  • Surveillance Planning: Execute surveillance plans to generate objective evidence and substantiate product safety.
  • Design and Safety Classification: Assist in the conduct of design and safety classification configuration checks, as appropriate.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Analyze root causes of failures and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree qualified in Engineering (or working towards), or HNC with suitable experience.
  • Experience: Demonstrable and applied experience in Product Verification or Quality Assurance activities and build assurance.
  • Technical Skills: Technical experience in Safety Assessments of design, evidence capture, and risk analysis.
