Job Title: Software Safety Assurance Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Safety Assurance Specialist to join our team at Onyx-Conseil. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of our software systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Assurance: Provide assurance activities for software in the early lifecycle phases, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  2. Critical Reviews: Perform critical reviews of design information at agreed lifecycle points, providing constructive comments to ensure design compliance.
  3. Concern Resolution: Identify and ensure progress to resolution of any concerns raised in critical reviews.
  4. Independent Assessment: Produce independent professional assessments at certification points to support approvals.
  5. Risk Assessment: Support project teams and service engineering organizations with risk assessments, ensuring suitable justification exists for action.

Requirements:

  1. Education: A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent engineering experience.
  2. Experience: Experience of safety-critical software development and associated design standards.
  3. Skills: Ability to collaborate, adapt, network, and think creatively.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Safety Standards: Familiarity with safety standards such as Mil Std 882, ARP4761A.
  2. Design Assurance: Working knowledge of RTCA DO-178/EUROCAE ED-82 Design Assurance Guidance.
