Sustainable Energy Technician Trainee

In this position, you will collaborate with a dynamic team to assist in the installation of low carbon technologies, such as air source heat pumps, in residential settings. Your responsibilities will include engaging with customers to install, service, troubleshoot, and repair our innovative technologies. You may also have the opportunity to plan, select, install, service, and maintain low carbon systems under the guidance of experienced colleagues. We seek individuals who are passionate and take pride in their contributions. It is essential that you are adaptable, proactive, and prioritize customer satisfaction in all your endeavors. Additionally, you should be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering exceptional work while adhering to design specifications, manufacturer guidelines, regulations, and industry standards. Preparing for the installation of low carbon technologies. Conducting testing and handover procedures for low carbon systems. Safely removing and disposing of outdated heating and hot water systems to make way for modern, low carbon alternatives. Performing routine servicing and maintenance within customer residences.Requirements:
GCSEs in Maths and English at grades 4-9, functional skills in Maths and English, or equivalent qualifications. A valid UK driving license with no more than 3 penalty points. The right to work in the UK for the duration of the apprenticeship. Strong problem-solving abilities. Resilience and a willingness to learn from experiences. A genuine desire to learn and grow professionally.Key Information:
Apprenticeship: Level 3 Low Carbon Heating Technician. Duration: 24 months (plus 4 months for End Point Assessment). Locations available: Various across the UK.
