As a Sustainable Energy Technician Trainee, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission. You will earn a competitive salary that increases as you progress in your career. Throughout our comprehensive 2-year program, you will work towards achieving a Level 3 qualification in Low Carbon Heating Technology, guided by some of the most enthusiastic professionals in the field. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with a dynamic team to assist in the installation of low carbon technologies, such as air source heat pumps, in residential settings. You will engage with customers to install, service, troubleshoot, and repair our innovative technologies. You may also find yourself involved in planning, selecting, installing, servicing, and maintaining low carbon systems under the mentorship of experienced colleagues. Additionally, you should be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.

Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering exceptional work while adhering to design specifications, manufacturer guidelines, regulations, and industry standards. Preparing for the installation of low carbon technologies. Conducting testing and handover procedures for low carbon systems. Safely removing and disposing of outdated heating and hot water systems to make way for our advanced, low carbon solutions. Performing routine servicing and maintenance within customer residences.

Required qualifications:

A GCSE in Maths and English at grades 4-9, functional skills in Maths and English, or equivalent qualifications. A valid UK driving license with no more than 3 penalty points. Permanent right to work in the UK for the duration of the apprenticeship. Strong problem-solving abilities. Resilience and a willingness to learn from experiences. A genuine motivation to grow and develop professionally.

Key details:

Apprenticeship: Level 3 Low Carbon Heating Technician. Duration: 24 months (plus an additional 4 months for End Point Assessment). Locations available: Various locations across the UK. Salary: Starting salary based on age, with opportunities for salary progression and a potential final salary after 5 years in the role.
