As a Low Carbon Heating Technician Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission. This position offers a competitive salary that increases as you progress in your career. You will work towards achieving a Level 3 qualification in Low Carbon Heating Technology, guided by some of the most enthusiastic professionals in the field. Throughout our 2-year apprenticeship, you will collaborate with a dynamic team to assist in the installation of low carbon technologies, such as air source heat pumps, in residential settings. Your responsibilities will include engaging with customers to install, service, troubleshoot, and repair our innovative technologies. You may also have the opportunity to plan, select, install, service, and maintain low carbon systems under the mentorship of experienced colleagues. We seek individuals who are passionate and take pride in their work. We value those who embrace change, go the extra mile, and prioritize customer satisfaction. Additionally, you should be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.

Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering exceptional work while adhering to design specifications, manufacturer guidelines, regulations, and industry standards. Preparing for the installation of low carbon technologies. Conducting testing and handover procedures for low carbon systems. Safely removing and disposing of outdated heating and hot water systems to make way for our advanced low carbon solutions. Performing routine servicing and maintenance within customer residences.

Requirements:

GCSEs in Maths and English at grades 4-9, functional skills in Maths and English, or equivalent qualifications. A valid UK driving license with no more than 3 penalty points. The right to work in the UK for the duration of the apprenticeship. Strong problem-solving abilities. Resilience and a willingness to learn from experiences. A genuine motivation to grow and develop professionally.

Key details:

Apprenticeship: Level 3 Low Carbon Heating Technician. Duration: 24 months (plus an additional 4 months for End Point Assessment). Salary: Starting salary for those under 21 is £17,652, and for those 21 and over is £20,381, with opportunities for salary progression leading to a potential final salary of £40,000 after 5 years in the role.
