Job Title: Waking Night Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Waking Night Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Area Camden. As a key member of our residential service, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical, social, and emotional care and development of the children and young people in our care.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our residents during nighttime hours. This will involve ensuring their safety and welfare, engaging in activities with them, and maintaining accurate records. You will also be required to communicate effectively with our out-of-hours services and respond to any emergencies that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nighttime care and support to residents, ensuring their safety and welfare at all times.
  • Engage in activities with residents, such as games, crafts, and other leisure activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident activities, including sleep patterns, meals, and any incidents that may occur.
  • Communicate effectively with our out-of-hours services, including responding to phone calls and messages.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents that may arise during nighttime hours.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a residential care setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
