About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people's mental health needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Provide evidence-based interventions, including DBT and other therapies
  • Work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans
Requirements
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Registered Mental Health Nurse, Registered Learning Disability Nurse, Registered Occupational Therapist, Registered Children's Social Worker)
  • Current registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., NMC, HCPC, GSW)
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Experience working in a community setting, preferably in CAMHS
  • Ability to work effectively with children and young people with complex mental health needs
