About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Booking Officer to join our team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our admissions team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth coordination of surgical procedures and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule patients into theatre lists, ensuring that all necessary information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Manage waiting lists and theatre lists, ensuring that patients are seen in a timely manner and that theatre lists are optimized for efficiency.
  • Liaise with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that all necessary information is shared and that patients receive the best possible care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing clear and concise information about their treatment and care.
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure the highest standards of patient care.
