Position Overview

Role: Quality Technician

Working Hours: 5 hours (6-3:30 shifts)

Compensation: Annual salary with additional night shift premiums, overtime, and weekend rates.

Job Responsibilities

As a Quality Technician, you will be provided with comprehensive support and training from the Depot Manager to safely and effectively sample, evaluate, and report on the quality of all sand, aggregate, and bituminous products produced or utilized in the operational area, adhering to the relevant EN Specifications, Company Internal Management Systems, and Environmental and Health & Safety Policies.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should possess a strong desire to embark on a career in the construction sector, demonstrate flexibility in working both day and night shifts, and be prepared for a physically demanding role. A full UK driving license and access to a personal vehicle are essential.

Work Environment

This position is based in a large production facility that operates around the clock. The environment can be dusty, noisy, and physically challenging, requiring early starts and late finishes. However, it offers a rewarding opportunity to work with a friendly and dedicated team, with potential for both horizontal and vertical career progression within the organization.

Team Structure

Within our team, there are 4 Technicians and 1 Supervisor. During peak business periods, travel may be necessary, and expenses will be covered.

Experience Requirements

While specific experience is not mandatory for the Quality Technician role, we welcome applicants from various backgrounds. Candidates with relevant industry experience may find themselves well-suited for this position.
