Job Summary:

This role is a full-time, fixed-term position aimed at enhancing the health and well-being of children and young people within the community. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

Compensation:

Annual Salary: £99,000 - £131,000

Contract Type: Fixed-Term for 12 months

Work Hours: Full-time, comprising 10 Programmed Activities (DCC:SPA)

On-Call Requirements: None

Essential Qualifications:

Applicants must possess:

  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice
  • CCT or equivalent qualification
  • Eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in Community Child Health

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Offer senior medical expertise and guidance to team members.
  • Engage directly with patients and their families, coordinating with external health providers as necessary.
  • Participate in local Child Protection initiatives.
  • Support colleagues and contribute positively to team dynamics.
  • Work alongside experienced consultants and trainees, influencing care delivery and service design.

Person Specification:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice

Experience:

At least 2 years' experience in Community Child Health is required.
