Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Health Practitioner to join our team at Lancashire County Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of our service objectives, promoting health and wellbeing, and tackling inequalities in the Lancashire population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of work plans relating to population health improvement.
  • Support the development of evidence-based policy recommendations and work with relevant partners to embed these.
  • Contribute to the commissioning of specific services and interventions.
  • Contribute to work objectives and standards and monitor and support the effective performance of staff in delivering against these.
  • Manage allocated budgets and other resources.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public health, with experience in addressing health inequalities and promoting health and wellbeing. They will also have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
