Exciting Opportunity for a Pharmacy Support Technician

An excellent chance has emerged for a dedicated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Support Technician to become a vital part of our welcoming pharmacy operational team.


We are seeking an experienced professional who possesses drive, enthusiasm, and outstanding communication abilities, both written and verbal, along with the capacity to perform under pressure.

You should be a collaborative team member, capable of functioning effectively within the pharmacy and broader healthcare environments.


In this position, you will assist the dispensary team with precise processing and dispensing of medication requests, contributing to the supply of bulk medications to various wards and departments, and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy dispensary service.

As an integral member of the pharmacy team, you will play a role in promoting and embodying the core values of the organization with colleagues within the department and across the healthcare trust.

For this role, you are required to have completed an NVQ QCF Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or an equivalent qualification, along with experience in a pharmacy environment.

This position allows the post holder to enhance their knowledge, skills, and experience in the daily delivery of pharmacy services to patients, in collaboration with patient services and clinical pharmacy teams.

The post holder will be responsible for dispensing inpatient and discharge medications, managing stock, and providing some clinical pharmacy services.
