Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Bupa. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our outpatient pharmacy service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Price and dispense out-patient prescriptions in accordance with laws and hospital procedures, ensuring accurate checking procedures at all times.
  • Participate in patient counseling and department counter service as required.
  • Sell 'Pharmacy only' and GSL medicines to patients, using questioning to ensure appropriate use, under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist in accordance with Royal Pharmaceutical Society guidelines.
  • Maintain and store prescription documentation in accordance with laws.
  • Post charges accurately to assist in delivering hospital business goals.
  • Participate in stock distribution, liaising with ward and department managers to ensure ward stocks are at suitable levels, and ensure efficient functioning of Pyxis on designated wards.

Requirements:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC.
  • Experience in retail and/or hospital pharmacy.
  • Positive can-do attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
