Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analysis Engineer to join our team at Omega. As a Senior Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for working on aircraft systems analysis solutions within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to meet agreed timelines for engineering analysis deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work competently with Finite Element (FE) tools, such as ABAQUS, to analyze and simulate complex engineering problems.
  • Perform classical static stress and fatigue analysis to ensure the integrity of aerospace structures.
  • Interface with other areas of the business, including Chief Engineers, Programmes, Test Engineering, Manufacturing, and external suppliers, to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Participate in audit reviews and present information as required to stakeholders.
  • Participate in product validation to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Liaise with external suppliers, customers, airframers, regulatory bodies, and other industrial organizations as required.
  • Identify analysis solutions and recommend improvements or suggest alternative methods to optimize engineering processes.
  • Review drawings, designs, concessions, and repairs to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with both internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Comply with industry standards, regulations, and qualification requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum HNC/Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
  • Good working knowledge of aerospace design and manufacturing processes.
  • A good understanding of the different engineering functions.
  • Working experience within different engineering functions is advantageous.
  • Experience of working with recognized FEA and fatigue software tools is advantageous.
  • Experience of static and fatigue structural analysis methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience working with aerospace materials engineering properties.
  • Experience of working to regulatory requirements.
  • Experience of working in an IPT environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly present information.
  • Organized and able to work to strict deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
