Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analysis Engineer to join our team in Gloucester. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing complex structural analysis and simulations to ensure the safety and reliability of our landing gear systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform classical static stress and fatigue analysis using advanced finite element tools such as ABAQUS
- Interface with other areas of the business, including Chief Engineers, Programmes, Test Engineering, and Manufacturing
- Participate in audit reviews and present information as required
- Liaise with external suppliers, customers, airframers, regulatory bodies, and other industrial organizations
- Identify analysis solutions and recommend improvements or suggest alternative methods
- Review drawings, designs, concessions, and repairs
- Communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external customers and suppliers
Requirements
- Minimum HNC/Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline
- Good working knowledge of aerospace design and manufacturing processes, with landing gear experience advantageous
- Strong understanding of different engineering functions and experience working in an IPT environment
- Experience with recognized FEA and fatigue software tools, as well as static and fatigue structural analysis methods
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and experience working with aerospace materials engineering properties
- Experience working to regulatory requirements and occasional travel may be required
