Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analysis Engineer / Senior Stress Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering Group, you will work on aerospace/aircraft component and system-level engineering analysis solutions within an Integrated Project Team (IPT) to meet agreed timelines for deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- FE Tools Expertise: Utilize Finite Element (FE) tools (e.g., ABAQUS) competently to perform classical static stress and fatigue analysis.
- Interface with Stakeholders: Interface with Chief Engineers, Programmes, Test Engineering, Manufacturing, and other departments as required.
- Audit Reviews and Presentations: Participate in audit reviews and present information as requested to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Product Validation: Engage in product validation to ensure that our solutions meet the required standards.
- Supplier and Customer Liaison: Liaise with external suppliers, customers, airframers, regulatory bodies, and other industrial organizations to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Analysis Solutions and Recommendations: Identify analysis solutions and recommend improvements or alternative methods to enhance our engineering analysis capabilities.
- Design and Drawing Review: Review drawings, designs, concessions, and repairs to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Comply with industry standards, regulations, and qualification requirements to ensure the highest level of quality.
- Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings and collaborate with stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Minimum HNC/Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
- Working Knowledge: Good working knowledge of aerospace design and manufacturing processes for mechanical systems.
- Engineering Functions: Understanding of different engineering functions and their interdependencies.
- FEA and Fatigue Software Tools: Experience with recognized FEA and fatigue software tools, including Nastran, Patran, and Hand Calcs.
- Structural Analysis Methods: Proficiency in static and fatigue structural analysis methods.
- Engineering Drawings: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Aerospace Materials Engineering: Experience with aerospace materials engineering properties.
- Regulatory Requirements: Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- IPT Environment: Experience in an Integrated Project Team (IPT) environment.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
