About the Role

Crooton is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Specialist to join our team as a Senior Practitioner - Offender Healthcare. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and forward-thinking organization, making a positive impact on the lives of offenders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist mental healthcare to offenders, working as part of the Mental Health Team and wider mental health services.
  • Deliver a range of specialist interventions at primary and secondary care level, including referral management, screening assessment, triage, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Manage a mixed and challenging caseload, including individuals struggling with severe enduring mental illness, personality difficulties, and neurodevelopmental problems.
  • Operational management and day-to-day leadership of the In-reach team at HMP Elmley and HMP Swaleside.
Requirements
  • NMC Registration
  • Degree supplemented by diploma, specialist training
  • Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification as an RMN
  • Extensive clinical experience
  • Supervisory experience of junior staff and students
