Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £39,338-£46,962 per annum, dependent on experience

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at HMP Elmley and HMP Swaleside. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing specialist mental healthcare to offenders, working closely with the Primary Care team, Substance Misuse team, and Prison staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist mental healthcare to offenders, including referral management, screening assessment, triage, and evidence-based interventions
  • Deliver a range of specialist interventions at primary and secondary care level, including care planning and risk assessing, one-to-one and group-work facilitation
  • Manage a mixed and challenging caseload, including people struggling with severe enduring mental illness, personality difficulties, and neurodevelopmental problems

Requirements:

  • NMC Registration
  • Degree supplemented by diploma, specialist training
  • Minimum of 2 years' post qualification as an RMN
  • Extensive clinical experience
  • Supervisory experience of junior staff and students
