Crooton is proud to be working with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, a leading provider of healthcare services to offenders. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at HMP Elmley and HMP Swaleside.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist mental healthcare to offenders, working as part of the Mental Health Team and wider mental health services. This will include delivering a range of specialist interventions at primary and secondary care level, including referral management, screening assessment, triage, and evidence-based interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist mental healthcare to offenders
  • Work as part of the Mental Health Team and wider mental health services
  • Deliver specialist interventions at primary and secondary care level
  • Manage a mixed and challenging caseload, including people struggling with severe enduring mental illness, personality difficulties, and neurodevelopmental problems
Requirements
  • NMC Registration
  • Degree supplemented by diploma, specialist training
  • Minimum of 2 years' post qualification as an RMN
  • Extensive clinical experience
  • Supervisory experience of junior staff and students
