Job Summary:

Kier Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our Transportation team. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and execution of specific project measures to achieve project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Cost Management: Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure accurate cost control and management.
  • Commercial Management: Negotiate and manage contracts, subcontracts, and agreements to ensure maximum sustainable value for the company.
  • Client and Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Health and Safety: Lead and promote a safety-first culture across the project, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven experience in project management, with a good understanding of Target Cost contracts.
  • Transportation Experience: Demonstrable competence in a transportation-related project environment.
  • CDM and Health and Safety: Detailed understanding of the CDM and health and safety legislation.
