About the Role:
Lidl - Wednesbury is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Manager to join their Store Development Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing, planning, and overseeing construction projects in the Midlands, ensuring the highest standards and deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned project plans and deadlines to ensure timely completion of construction projects.
- Monitor project progress and check quality standards are met at all times to maintain the highest level of quality.
- Manage relationships with external companies, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure the highest standards of Health & Safety performance on all construction sites, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Remedy any issues quickly and effectively to keep projects moving and ensure deadlines are not jeopardized.
- Report on the progress of construction projects to the Senior team, providing regular updates and insights.
- Manage project budgets and control costs to ensure projects are completed within budget.
Requirements:
- Education to degree level or equivalent in either Engineering or Construction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Valid driving license, essential for this role.
