Lead Project Coordinator – Design and Construction

Location: Central Region

Salary: £90,000-110,000 + Commission, Private Pension & Healthcare

We are collaborating with a leading Design and Construction firm in the UK, recognized for its impressive turnover and strong market presence.

The organization is seeking a Lead Project Coordinator to oversee 1-2 Category A or A+ projects simultaneously, with a maximum value of £7 million. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure timely project delivery while adhering to budget constraints and maintaining high-quality standards.

As part of the Major Works team, you will engage directly with clients and must possess experience working alongside landlords, professional teams, and end-users.

Your role will encompass the entire project lifecycle, and you are expected to have a robust network of subcontractors and the ability to command respect on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in project management for fit-out projects valued between £1-5 million.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and project management software, including MS Project.
  • Experienced in managing concurrent projects from handover to completion.
  • Familiar with specifications, drawings, design/build processes, and Bills of Quantities.
  • Strong financial management and negotiation skills.
  • Good understanding of Mechanical and Electrical works.
  • Experience in direct client interactions.
  • Ability to collaborate with client professional teams.
  • Experience in managing subcontractors effectively.
  • Preferably has worked with a Design and Build company or a mainstream competitor.
