Job Summary:

Project Redirect Inc Of The Distric is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect to lead our project development team. As a Senior Architect, you will be responsible for envisioning, designing, and delivering exceptional projects for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead a team of Project Architects in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design detail problems.
  • Project Planning: Collaborate with the Project Manager and Project Architect in defining project work plans and developing and managing the production schedule, including effectively defining and meeting deadlines.
  • Design and Technical Leadership: Provide design and technical leadership and act as an advisor on projects.
  • Team Management: Supervise the preparation of documents by the architectural team, including verifying implementation documents conform to QA/QC and HKS standards, best practice, and quality expectations.
  • Client Communication: Maintain open communication with clients and provide guidance through projects.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with the Project Manager, clients, public agencies, consultants, and contractors to incorporate engineering systems, respond to requests for information, clarifications, and modifications, and obtain approvals, negotiations, and adjusting scope of services.
  • Risk Management: Maintain awareness of risk management for potential project issues and involve the Project Manager if needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in team meetings to discuss project issues, technical issues, and coordination with other disciplines.
  • Travel: Travel will be required.

Requirements:

  • Education: Accredited Master's degree in Architecture (RIBA Part III or transferable equivalent).
  • Skills: Proficiency in architectural software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and 3D modeling software preferred. Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software preferred. Proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred.
  • Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of architectural building systems, accessibility guidelines, and QA/QC process. Advanced knowledge of building codes and ability to research and apply/incorporate into implementation documents.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time. Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and professional manner both verbally and in writing. Ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality.
