Senior Compliance Counsel, EMEA

We are in search of a Senior Compliance Counsel to lead the compliance initiatives in the EMEA region. This position requires collaboration with business leaders throughout EMEA on ethics and compliance strategies. The ideal candidate should exhibit proactive decision-making, manage multiple projects concurrently, and cultivate strong relationships within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive compliance framework to ensure compliance with local, national, and international laws.
  • Enhance and maintain Vantage's ethics and compliance program, including drafting and reviewing policies to prevent misconduct while aligning with business goals.
  • Conduct compliance risk evaluations to identify and mitigate potential issues.
  • Implement global anti-bribery and anti-corruption protocols.
  • Stay updated on legislative changes, revising policies as necessary.
  • Provide expert guidance on compliance issues across various operational sectors.
  • Support Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), Diversity & Inclusion (D&I), and corporate sustainability initiatives.
  • Improve compliance system tools, including whistleblower hotlines and case management systems.
  • Ensure employee awareness and adherence to compliance policies through effective training and communication.
  • Formulate risk mitigation strategies and corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to embed risk management into operational processes.
  • Oversee internal investigations and recommend corrective measures.
  • Present compliance metrics to assess program effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs, particularly within the data center or technology sector.
  • Extensive expertise in compliance domains such as anti-bribery, privacy, and internal investigations.
  • Previous experience at a prestigious law firm or multinational corporation is advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in statistical analysis and data presentation.
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage with stakeholders and senior management.
