Job Description:

MRA Search Limited is seeking a highly experienced Regulatory Counsel to join our client, a leading global data centres business. As a key member of the legal function, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing the ethics and compliance program in the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement the ethics and compliance program in the EMEA region
  • Provide advice on compliance matters related to the company's operations, including real estate, construction, privacy, and other areas as needed
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management and external partners
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments, and provide guidance on compliance matters
  • Collaborate with other teams, including risk management, internal audit, and compliance, to ensure effective implementation of compliance programs

Requirements:

  • Qualified UK lawyer with 8+ years' experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs
  • Experience in data centre or technology industry is welcome but not a pre-requisite
  • Extensive privacy/GDPR experience is preferred, with a willingness and appetite to take on a wide-reaching role comprising anti-bribery and anti-corruption, trade compliance, privacy, internal investigations, and whistle blower/anonymous reporting
