Job Title: Credit Risk Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Analyst to join our team on a 12-month maternity cover. As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our lending objectives by providing insightful analytics around our credit risk exposures.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain credit risk models and scorecards to support operational decisions.
  2. Analyse mortgage data from internal and external sources to inform lending activities.
  3. Present analysis and models to credit and risk committees for approval.
  4. Support the production of information for the Board, Risk Committee, and external parties on credit risk exposures.
  5. Monitor scorecards and models to ensure they are performing within tolerances.
  6. Carry out ad-hoc credit risk analysis and report writing as required.
  7. Contribute to the evolution of our Data Mart by identifying requirements and participating in development and testing.
  8. Identify and manage risk within your area of responsibility.
Requirements:
  1. Highly numerate and analytical with exposure to data mining or statistical software.
  2. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Knowledge of the credit risk lifecycle, preferably relating to mortgages.
  4. Highly organised with the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritise tasks.
  5. A high level of attention to detail to produce analyses with a consistently high degree of accuracy.
