Risk Management Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance and Health and Safety Manager to join our team at SSR General & Management. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, stakeholders, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and Promote a Health and Safety Culture: Develop and implement a comprehensive health and safety program that promotes a culture of safety among employees, vendors, and partners.
- Maintain Safe and Secure Systems of Work: Conduct regular risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure that our systems of work are safe and secure.
- Ensure Compliance with Health and Safety Legislation: Ensure that our organization complies with all relevant health and safety laws and regulations.
- Develop and Maintain Health and Safety Management Systems: Develop and maintain a comprehensive health and safety management system that includes policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Investigate Workplace Accidents and Illnesses: Investigate all workplace accidents and illnesses, and perform root cause and trend analysis to identify areas for improvement.
- Provide Technical Advice and Support: Provide technical advice and support to employees, vendors, and partners on health and safety matters.
- Conduct Safety Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure that our facilities and operations are safe and secure.
- Develop and Implement Emergency Response Plans: Develop and implement emergency response plans to ensure that our organization is prepared to respond to emergencies.
- Manage Health and Safety Education and Awareness Programs: Develop and implement health and safety education and awareness programs to promote a culture of safety among employees, vendors, and partners.
Requirements:
- Proven Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a large multinational organization.
- Qualifications: Essential Level 6 specific qualifications in safety management, such as a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of risk management principles, tools, and techniques, as well as investigative and report writing skills.
- Professional Membership: Membership in a health and safety professional body, with evidence of continuing professional development.
- Business-Focused: Business-focused with the ability to translate technical subject matter into relevant business issues.
- Interpersonal and Influencing Skills: Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, vendors, and partners.
