The Senior HR Operations Manager is a pivotal and innovative position within the organization, where you will collaborate with various departments to facilitate a spectrum of operational and strategic human resources functions, while also engaging in organization-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing the People & Culture Division.

Reporting to the Executive Director for People and Culture, you will be responsible for evaluating and refining policies and procedures, as well as implementing creative solutions to employee relations challenges, managing organizational change, overseeing the recruitment of essential personnel, and promoting the equality, diversity, and inclusion agenda.

In this role, you will provide dynamic leadership, guidance, and development to the HR team focused on employee relations, fostering proactive interventions to boost productivity and efficiency across the organization.

Collaborating with departmental leaders to assess staffing requirements and devising strategies for attracting, nurturing, and retaining top talent, you will instill organizational values while managing the recruitment and selection process, conducting interviews, and making final hiring decisions.

Candidates should possess a MCIPD qualification and a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, along with extensive knowledge of employment legislation and experience in a trade unionized setting.

A strong strategic perspective is essential, with the ability to align HR initiatives with business goals, as well as a proven track record of utilizing management information to enhance organizational performance. You will also oversee the maintenance and enhancement of the organization's HRIS.

Exceptional leadership and managerial capabilities, coupled with the ability to effectively coach and mentor a team, are crucial, as are outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Building and sustaining strong relationships with employees, managers, and stakeholders is vital. Experience in a membership organization is advantageous.

The HR Operations team is dedicated to developing initiatives and tools that support the achievement of the organization's strategic objectives. A primary focus of the team is to ensure that we attract, develop, and retain the talent necessary to provide the organizational agility and skills required to navigate the transformational changes and challenges we face now and in the future.
