About the Role

Gray Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in providing high-quality care to an individual with complex needs. The successful candidate will work as part of a 2:1 support team, providing 24-hour care and support to enable the individual to live independently in their own bungalow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered care and support to the individual, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, medication management, and household chores.
  • Support the individual to engage in activities and hobbies, such as cooking, bingo, swimming, and outdoor walks.
  • Work collaboratively with the support team to develop and implement care plans, ensuring the individual's needs are met.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as trauma-informed care, medication compliance, and autism awareness.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in social care, ideally with mental health or complex care experience.
  • Current Right to Work in the UK and a minimum of 6 months' employment history in the UK.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including days and waking nights, and to drive a mobility vehicle.
