About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our Bank team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our inpatient mental health unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred care and support to service users, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective care plans and interventions.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment, adhering to trust policies and procedures.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Person Specification
  • Minimum of 6 months' experience in a care setting, with a strong understanding of mental health issues and person-centred recovery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to attend and pass training in physical restraint, enhanced life support, and moving & handling.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and unsociable hours.
