About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at Potens. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with mental health conditions to live with less restriction and greater independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support adults with mental health conditions to develop their living skills, such as cooking, maintaining their living space, and managing their finances.
  • Help individuals to remain well by utilizing and developing coping skills, sourcing enjoyable community activities, and accessing higher education or employment.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals to thrive.

Requirements:

  • Enthusiasm and interest in working within the mental health sector.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work in a residential setting, which is open 24/7.
  • Empathy and a flexible approach that respects individual differences.
  • Dedication and a willingness to go the extra mile.
  • A Dreamer - someone who believes anything is possible.
  • An influencer - able to inspire people to believe in themselves.
