About the Role

Creative Support is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Recovery Team Lead to join our team in the North Tyneside region. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading a team of mental health recovery practitioners and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to individuals with mental health support needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of mental health recovery practitioners in the delivery of person-centred services to individuals with mental health support needs.
  • Develop and implement service plans that promote independence, tenancy sustainment, and positive risk management.
  • Work collaboratively with service users, their families, housing providers, and other agencies to assess needs and plan successful transitions into the service.
  • Ensure that individuals are enabled to make progress in their personal recovery journey and attain goals relating to their mental health and wellbeing, independence, tenancy maintenance, quality of life, and community connections.
  • Promote a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and ensure that staff are skilled in promoting recovery and positive engagement.
  • Lead on partnership working with statutory mental health services and voluntary agencies.
  • Represent the organisation and promote the service to referrers and potential service users.
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of service delivery, including assessment, support planning, and positive risk management.
  • Mentor, supervise, and support staff, including staff development and training.
  • Organise person-centred reviews and enable pathways to independence and move-on as appropriate.
  • Build positive partnerships with all stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience of working with people with mental health needs within a person-centred, recovery-focused framework.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mental health needs/conditions, recovery principles, and helpful interventions.
  • Skills in promoting independence, tenancy sustainment, and positive risk management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with service users, their families, housing providers, and other agencies.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, including line management and deployment of staff.
  • Ability to represent the organisation and promote the service to referrers and potential service users.
  • Commitment to community asset-based approaches and ability to collaborate creatively with community partners.
