Responsibilities and Duties

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes marketing strategies for the TV category to achieve key performance indicators.
  • Formulates go-to-market plans, including pricing, distribution, product assortment, and promotional strategies.
  • Lineup Management – Directly oversees a particular TV product segment, focusing on lineup optimization and initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency or addressing market challenges.
  • Pricing Strategy – Assists in managing pricing strategies by product and segment, overseeing promotional plans for assigned products to boost sales and market share, ensuring market forecasts are met.
  • Sales and Profit Analysis – Evaluates sales forecasts and monitors marketing investments to maintain accurate target plans and inventory levels, achieving business profit and loss objectives.
  • Forecasting and Inventory Management – Prepares and manages forecasts for assigned categories, collaborating with supply chain, sales, and customers to maintain appropriate inventory levels throughout the product lifecycle and develop timely end-of-life strategies.
  • Monitors weekly product sales data by account and SKU to manage forecasts and address sales challenges, providing data-driven recommendations.
  • Partners with sales teams and customers to understand retailer strategies and challenges, providing necessary marketing support for successful sales.
  • Conducts sales and supply chain meetings, develops weekly forecasts, and confirms sales estimates essential for achieving supply chain efficiency and optimal inventory levels.
  • Collaborates with the Training team to create educational materials for sales personnel.
  • Presents product lineup features and strategies at key customer meetings and events.
  • Performs competitive market analysis utilizing various systems and online research.

Success within the first few months involves establishing connections, gaining comprehensive knowledge of Samsung and competitors' product offerings, and preparing to take ownership of specific areas within the TV category. By the end of the initial period, the individual should have assumed full responsibility for these areas, working independently and further developing relationships with partners. Long-term success includes independently driving the TV business, proactively identifying opportunities and risks, and cultivating strong relationships across various functions.
