Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance programs, new installations, and work certifications, while managing subcontractors and providing support to contract management.
  • Plan and coordinate tasks for a small team of skilled personnel with the assistance of a scheduler.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments for Equipment Maintenance Task Lists, ensuring they remain valid and up-to-date.
  • Regularly review EWI/SOP documentation to maintain current and valid records.
  • Ensure all on-site work adheres to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and Veolia's EHS guidelines.
  • Exhibit flexibility in working with equipment across various facilities.
  • Adapt to Maintenance Shutdown schedules as required.
  • Become familiar with Cleanroom protocols following training.
  • Participate in audits of Mechanical and Electrical plant rooms and address any follow-up actions.
  • Drive local assessments of maintenance performance data using established maintenance excellence KPIs.
  • Maintain the CMMS system with the latest information regarding equipment, spare parts, and maintenance hours.
  • Optimize maintenance wrench time utilization through effective planning.

Qualifications Required:

  • Extensive Mechanical and Electrical experience with a thorough understanding of statutory regulations.
  • Completion of a time-served Electrical apprenticeship is essential.
  • BS 2391 Inspection & Testing certification is required.
  • 18th Edition certification is mandatory.
  • Proven supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with Pumps, HVAC Systems, Compressors, Boilers, steam systems, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Clean steam Boilers, and Purified Water Systems.
  • Experience with Building Management Systems and Preventive Maintenance Systems.
  • Proficient in a computerized Maintenance Management Work Order system.
  • Experience with a documented Permit to Work System.
  • Ability to interpret P&ID and electrical schematics.
  • Understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Knowledge of Basic Instrumentation.
  • A methodical and analytical approach to tasks.
  • Appointment subject to satisfactory clearance as per the Disclosure and Barring Service and enhanced security protocols.
