About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Veolia UK. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of multi-skilled personnel in the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance programs, new installations, and certification of works.
  • Manage subcontractors and provide general support to the management of the contract.
  • Plan works with the aid of a scheduler and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Carry out risk assessments and ensure that all equipment maintenance task lists are valid and up-to-date.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of EWI/SOP to ensure that documents are current and valid.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with site EHS and Veolia EHS rules and guidelines.
  • Work flexibly to cover equipment in all buildings and participate in maintenance shutdowns.
  • Follow training to be familiar with all cleanroom rules and regulations.
  • Participate in audits of the mechanical and electrical plant rooms and follow up on actions.
  • Drive local reviews of maintenance performance data using published maintenance excellence KPI results.
  • Ensure that the CMMS system contains the most up-to-date information regarding equipment data, spares, and maintenance man-hours.
  • Maximise maintenance wrench time utilisation through effective planning.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with a full understanding of statutory rules and regulations.
  • Time-served electrical apprenticeship is essential.
  • BS 2391 Inspection & Testing and 18th Edition qualifications are essential.
  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • Experience with pumps, HVAC systems, compressors, boilers, steam systems, and ancillary services is essential.
  • Building Management Systems and Preventive Maintenance Systems experience is required.
  • Experience with a computerised Maintenance Management Work Order system environment is essential.
  • Experience with a documented Permit to Work System is required.
  • Ability to read and understand P&ID's/electrical drawings is essential.
  • Understanding of SOP's and Basic Instrumentation is required.
  • Methodical and analytical approach to work is essential.
  • The appointment is subject to satisfactory clearance in accordance with the stipulations laid down by the Disclosure and Barring Service and enhanced security clearance.
