Join the dynamic team at MBM Travel Executives Ltd as a Specialist Product Manager, where you will spearhead the development and expansion of our Specialist Travel Products. In this pivotal role, you will take charge of the strategic vision for these offerings, working closely with the Heads of Product to ensure alignment and success.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Oversight: Lead the strategic direction for Specialist Travel Products with guidance from the Heads of Product.
  • Product Advocacy: Promote our Solo, Active, and emerging travel products throughout the organization to enhance visibility and drive sales.
  • Performance Management: Take responsibility for the P&L and NPS metrics associated with Specialist Products.
  • Product Enhancement: Continuously assess and refine travel itineraries, identifying opportunities for improvement and new product development.
  • Market Insights: Collaborate with the Insights team to gather consumer data that informs product growth strategies.
  • Contract Negotiation: Engage in negotiations and contracts for land products related to Specialist offerings in coordination with relevant teams.
  • Cost Management: Compile and manage tour costings to meet target profit margins, ensuring to reclaim compensation from suppliers when necessary.
  • Supplier Relations: Oversee supplier agreements and contracts, ensuring accurate tour costing and detailed documentation for marketing purposes.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Analyze competitor activities and their effects on our travel offerings.
  • Customer Engagement: Address customer service inquiries efficiently, ensuring that hotel and agent contracts are updated and returned promptly.
  • Training and Development: Provide comprehensive product training as required.
  • Marketing Accuracy: Review and enhance brochure and website content for precision and clarity.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably within the European travel or solo tours sector.
  • Strong relationship management skills with key suppliers.
  • Strategic mindset with excellent negotiation capabilities.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively while also being self-sufficient.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Well-developed organizational abilities.
  • Proactive and capable of taking initiative.
  • Knowledge of an additional European language is a plus but not mandatory.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Manage a select number of European tours as necessary.
  • Conduct overseas visits to explore new tour concepts and solidify supplier agreements.
