Job Title: Senior Hospitality Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hospitality Assistant to join our team at St Monica Trust. As a Senior Hospitality Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food service and resident care in our care homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve food and drinks to residents in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Work closely with the Chef to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance in food preparation and presentation.
  • Deputise for the Chef as required, including cooking evening meals and breakfasts.
  • Support Resident Support Assistants with plating and presentation of food.
  • Conduct day-to-day cleanliness and hygiene checks in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Assist with stock management, rotation, and ordering.
  • Safely close down the kitchen at the end of the day and remove food waste.
Requirements:
  • Food hygiene qualification level 2.
  • Good standard of general education/GCSE maths and English.
  • Experience working in a care home environment.
  • Experience working in a catering environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of good food hygiene practices.
  • Knowledge of health and safety principles.
Desirable:
  • Diploma (or NVQ) level 2 Catering/Food Service or equivalent.
  • Experience supervising a team.
