Job Title: Senior Hospitality Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hospitality Assistant to join our team at St Monica Trust. As a Senior Hospitality Assistant, you will play a key role in providing exceptional food and beverage services to our residents, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook food and drinks for residents, adhering to high standards of quality, safety, and presentation.
  • Work closely with the Chef to ensure efficient and effective food service operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Assist with food preparation, cooking, and presentation, including plating and garnishing.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, including temperature control, labeling, and allergen management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Assist with stock management, ordering, and inventory control.
  • Support the Chef in supervising and training junior staff members.
Requirements:
  • Food hygiene qualification level 2.
  • Good standard of general education, including GCSE maths and English.
  • Experience working in a care home environment.
  • Experience working in a catering environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of good food hygiene practices.
  • Knowledge of health and safety principles.
Desirable:
  • Diploma (or NVQ) level 2 Catering/Food Service or equivalent.
  • Experience supervising a team.
