About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Hospitality Assistant. As a key member of our care home team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day provision of food and drinks services, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the preparation and serving of food and drinks to residents, ensuring that all meals are prepared to a high standard and presented in a visually appealing way.
  • Work closely with the Chef to ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standards, and that all dietary requirements are met.
  • Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring that all areas are clean and hygienic at all times.
  • Support the Resident Support Assistants with plating and presentation of food for residents.
  • Conduct daily compliance checks to ensure that all food safety and hygiene procedures are being followed.
  • Assist with stock management, rotation, and ordering to ensure that all food and drinks are available when needed.
Requirements
  • Food hygiene qualification level 2
  • Good standard of general education/GCSE maths and English
  • Experience working in a care home environment
  • Experience working in a catering environment
  • Knowledge and experience of good food hygiene practices
  • Knowledge of health and safety principles
