Job Description

Job Title: Head of Docking and Maintenance

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Docking and Maintenance to join our team at Serco. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining the overall docking strategy for our fleet of vessels, managing commercial framework agreements, and overseeing the maintenance of assets in accordance with sound commercial practice.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain overall docking strategy for the fleet
  • Manage commercial framework agreements and long-term relationships
  • Oversee the maintenance of assets in accordance with sound commercial practice
  • Provide engineering authority for changes to vessels and decisions on engineering issues
  • Lead the planned maintenance strategy for existing and new vessels
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Flag, Class, MCA, DMR, and other regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Experience in the docking, refit, and repair of small to medium-sized commercial vessels
  • Senior management experience in maritime design and/or engineering programs
  • Experience of commercial shipyard contracting
  • Understanding of Class, Flag, and Naval Requirements
  • Detailed marine engineering knowledge, both practical and theoretical
