Job Title: Underwriting Operations Analyst

This is a full-time office-based role that offers an exciting opportunity to join our Technical Operations Team. As an Underwriting Operations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely capture of data within our underwriting system of record.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the entry and accuracy of data within the underwriting system of record from underwriting slips and endorsements for inwards business across multiple Lines of Business.
  • Forge strong working relationships with key stakeholders and take ownership for managing relationships with specific underwriting teams.
  • Support the team initiative of improving the Binding and Endorsement Operational function by reviewing existing processes and creating efficiencies.
  • Manage and resolve Binding and Endorsement Queries promptly and accurately using the Query management tool and regular face-to-face communication with Underwriters and Underwriting teams.
  • Provide technical support and training to outsourced service providers and become one of the SMEs for Binding and Endorsement Team.
Earnings and Data Quality:
  • Liaise with the Actuarial team to ensure that all custom earning patterns are updated in the system of record by each month close.
  • Gain a high level of understanding of each Line of Business and their processes by attending learning sessions and communicating with the underwriters and underwriting assistants.
  • Work closely with outsourced providers to ensure that Data quality and performance targets are met and issues are identified and addressed.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Ensure full understanding of month-end procedures and that all deadlines are completed in a timely manner.
  • Review and respond to complex queries received from internal and external stakeholders in a timely and manner.
  • Participate in key meetings and lead where required.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated Operations Experience.
  • A practical understanding of Underwriting systems.
  • Basic competency in MS Office applications: Word and Adobe Standard required.
  • Advanced Outlook and Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to master new concepts quickly and take initiative with own personal development.
  • Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders both internal and externally across the Company.
  • Must be able to self-lead and work effectively both independently and with teams.
