We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at CBW Staffing Solutions. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our commercial office building in the City of London.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and fabric duties.
  • Respond to service desk reactive tasks as directed in accordance with SLAs.
  • Assist in ensuring plant rooms are tidy and presentable, reporting any issues for rectification.
  • Undertake reactive maintenance, minor works, and public health maintenance, including blocked toilets.
  • Investigate and rectify hot and cold air conditioning complaints, including operation of the Building Management System (BMS) and Lighting Control System (LCS).
  • Complete water treatment tasks in accordance with L8, utilizing the water treatment logbooks as directed by the Responsible Person(s), and report any issues without delay.
  • Undertake minor fabric maintenance works, including painting, furniture moving, etc., and ensure that any materials required to complete tasks are ordered in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Carry out minor mechanical installations, as and when requested and supervised.
  • Identify, manage, and report any risks, accidents, or near misses in a timely manner.
  • Work with and escort contractors during maintenance visits, ensuring that working guidelines are always followed and assisting with the quarterly inspection undertaken by the water treatment consultant.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to any building alarms received from the helpdesk or BMS, and escalate alarms where necessary, recording all reactive tasks in the shift log.
Requirements:
  • Mechanically or electrically qualified Level 2/3/HNC/HND.
  • 18th Edition if electrically qualified.
  • You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential).
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
  • Excellent customer skills.
